Maserati brothers
Seven Maserati brothers were born in Voghera, Italy. Their father Rodolfo Rodolfo was a driver and his mother Carolina Losi Carolina Carlo was born in 1818. Bindo Bindo was born in 1883 and Alfieri was born in 1885. Alfieri, unfortunately, died several months after his birth, and his father and mother decided to name their next son, born in 1887, with the same name. It was intended that they also have three other children: in 1890 Mario Mario was born, followed by Ettore in 1894 and Ernesto Ernesto in 1898.
All Maserati brothers, with the exception of Mario Mario, who was a painter and artist, went to engineering, design and construction. Nevertheless, Mario Mario's role in Maserati's company was as important as his engineer's brothers. The trademark of the company, the triangular sign, was inspired by the Neptune statue, which was installed on a field with the same name in the city of Anharil Bolone, Bologna. It was designed.
The first brothers in the field of engines, Carlo Carlo, worked at a bicycle factory in Affori, near Milan, Milan. He designed a single-cylinder engine for an old tricycle, which was later built by Carcciano Di Antaso del Parco. Carlo Maserati also participated in the Caraccio bike, equipped with the engine designed by him, and won several races at a speed record of 50 kph (31 mph) in 1900 instead of put.
Carlo moved to Fiat Fiat in 1901, when Caraccio was shut down, and then went to Isotta Fraschini in 1903 and worked as a mechanic and driver testing vehicle. Thanks to his penetration, his brother Izotra Isotta, Alfieri, also hired Alfieri, while only 16 years old. Carlo Carlo had a brilliant job while at the age of 29, he had worked for Bianchi until then, Junior Manager, and in addition to his workshop with Bridgetto Ettore to produce high-voltage transformer transformers and Low voltage for the car.
Alfieri soon became a technician and driver, inheriting Carlo Carlo's morale, and showing the same outsourcing personality and skills. In 1908, Isotta left Isotta a car that, despite the broken carburetor, managed to win the 14th Grand Prix in Dieppe. At the same time, Ettore, Bindo joined the Isottafraschini, where Alfieri started to work as a mechanic and he also made some advances in driving.
In 1912, Alfieri was appointed as Ista's customer service in Bolon after being represented in Argentina, the United States and the United Kingdom with his brother Ettur Ettore. Alfieri's extensive experience during his career, and convinced him that he is now ready to examine the possibility of an independent job, so that he could ultimately exploit his talent and creativity. In 1914, he rented a business office in Viale Pile, in the Old Town of Bologna, and eventually became the first headquarters of Alfieri Maserati.
The first Maserati period - from 1914 to 1937
After World War I, the company moved from Wiedepole to its new offices in the outskirts of Bologna. The main activity of the Maserati brothers was still the setting of the Izota Motorski cars, but they also worked on other brands.
Alfieri started his career as a driver and soon proved his abilities and won in Souza Munchiniz Yu, Giulio Sirocco and Aosta-Grete St Bernard. Diaatou Diatto gave him the opportunity to design for himself and even participate in the tournament. Unfortunately, in 1924, after dominating the San Sebastino Gp, he was no longer qualified despite the withdrawal of the race due to the replacement of his 2-liter engine with a 3.0-liter engine, which was canceled several months later.
