    Until 1950 the company was named ZUKUNFT Schuhfabrik. In the same year August Albert Schmenger took over the management of the company. From this point on, the company operates under the name of Kennel & Schmenger KG.
    In 1961, Klaus Kennel, grandson of the company founder, joined the company.
    1995: The current CEO, partner and creative director, Andreas Klautzsch, starts work at Kennel & Schmenger. He is largely responsible for the “generation change” of the brand towards the fashion-loving premium label.
    2008: With the opening of the first concept store, a decisive milestone was laid for the further expansion of the brand presence.
