is our credo at ROBERT OSSWALD. As a traditional Düsseldorf family company, it is our aim to develop and manufacture timeless, charmingly stylish products of the highest quality for you. Products that can be inherited and develop into real “family pieces”. The forerunner of our company was founded as a toy and textile shop in Düsseldorf by Louis Heubes and his son as early as 1860. His son-in-law Fritz Osswald, Robert Osswald's grandfather, continued the business and founded the Fritz-Osswald-Werke, FRIOS for short, in 1948. For many years, Fritz Osswald delighted parents and grandparents with lovingly designed toys, fine textiles and sophisticated products for baby equipment. Many of the carefully hand-drawn product sketches from this period are still preserved today and inspire current product developments: We designed the adorable robbers by ROBERT OSSWALD based on the beautiful guard animals that Fritz Osswald developed as a real bestseller in the 1950s. Our beautiful new lampshade also adorns one of the enchanting historical drawings.
