In 1928 the innkeeper and sales representative Franz Kloppenborg senior founded a stocking factory in Laer near Münster. The first machines were in the then little-used ballroom. In the past, mostly solid work socks were made. In the eighties of the last century we started with a natural textile collection, which has grown steadily since then and has become more and more important to us. As a founding member of both the working group Naturtextil e.V. (AKN) and the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry (IVN), we have seen and helped shape the beginning and development of the natural textile scene.
