The American bicycle dealer Ben Lawee was always annoyed about bikes that were either too expensive or did not meet the demands of his customers. He was looking for robust, affordable bikes with innovative technology that would be fun. As an energetic entrepreneur, he therefore got to work himself. With the very first models, his brand became synonymous with the then brand new type of mountain bike.
