At the beginning of the company's successful history is Wilhelm Kicherer, who founded the Fakir company as a family business in Mühlacker in 1933. During this time, machines and devices for cleaning floors were produced. Fakir - an abbreviation for the Kicherer family - was soon synonymous with high quality and innovative technology in the home appliance sector. As part of the company's expansion in the 1950s, electric heaters for the household sector were added to the production program. In 1978 the company management acquired a new, large factory site in Vaihingen / Enz as part of future-oriented planning. Part of the Mühlacker production was relocated there because the original plant in the city center had to give way to the redesign of the city center and the development with the Mühlehof cultural and shopping center. Innovative corporate development went hand in hand with the spatial expansion. Facing the challenges of a growing European market and rapidly changing technologies, Fakir was able to acquire an unmistakable profile of quality with its high-quality products. To this day, the innovatively planning company management, the intensive research development department and all of our highly motivated and qualified employees contribute to this.
