    On April 22, 2004, in order to transfer the activity of transporting the steelmaking of the country to the private sector and with the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways and the Southwest Investment and Development Company, it established its activities in the field of transportation of raw materials and Khuzestan Steel Company and other steel factories started production. The company has a license for the transport of goods and passengers, and is a member of the Guild of Railway Transport Companies as well as the Rail Transport Engineering Association of Iran. South Rail Steel Co., with more than 1400 high-end wagon and 200 short-wagon wagons, carries more than 2 million tons of raw materials and steel mills annually.
