Susan, founder of JOYYES, was born into a family of ceramic artisans. In the 1920s Susan's grandfather owned a ceramic workshop in Gaobei, a famous traditional ceramic village. Susan's father wrote an influential book on traditional Chinese ceramic techniques. She took over the love for ceramics and formed her own company JOYYE in 2001.
JOYYE was born with the legacy of its predecessors. It is mission is "to devote all efforts to secure the creativity of fine art ceramics and to spread the aesthetics of life through its products". In the past 18 years, JOYYE consistently integrated modern art and traditional ceramic techniques.
