  • About us :

The company was founded in Soest in 1884 as a classic bakery by Julius Trockels. Wilhelm Trockels continued the family business until it was lost in World War II. Only Wilhelm's son Günter survived this time and began selling bread from his bicycle as a young master baker in 1954. The business developed so well that he soon expanded his radius of action and thus his customer base with a motor tricycle and added sand cakes and milk ice cream cakes (waffles baked in an iron) to his range. In 1957 the company was rebuilt on the inner-city property . The acquisition of a semi-automatic machine for making ice cream cakes in the same year marked the beginning of industrial production. The steady expansion of the range in 1972 led to the bakery moving to the outskirts of Soest. The headquarters of Kuchenmeister GmbH are still located here. In 1995 Günter Trockels handed over the management to his three sons: Hans-Günter, responsible for the operational management; Thomas, authorized signatory and head of the Finance & Controlling division; Uwe, Head of Purchasing Raw Materials and Product Development. Kuchenmeister GmbH took over "Lady Cake GmbH" with production facilities in Duingen and Mettingen from Südzucker AG in 2000. With the acquisition of a production facility in Salzkotten from Kamps AG in 2004, today's “Audrey Cake GmbH” was created. In 2009, the fourth generation of the family company celebrated its 125th anniversary
