About us :
Our cooperative was founded in 1935 as "Milchversorgung Ingolstadt eG m.b.H.". After purchasing various pieces of land in 1940, the dairy in the picture was built. While only fresh products were produced at that time, the production of roller-dried milk powder began in 1960. Decisive for the further positive development of the company was the beginning of the cooperation with McDonald`s in 1978 (supply of raw materials for shake and ice cream). In 1987 the strategically important merger with the dairy cooperative Thalmässing under the name "Milchwerke Ingolstadt", which still exists today, took place -Thalmässing eG ". In the following years, the catchment area was steadily expanded, above all through the merger with the dairy cooperative Langquaid (1993) and the takeover of the suppliers of the Schweiger dairy in Riedenburg (1994). Due to the increased demand for roller-dried milk powder, the production of ice cream and Shake raw materials were relocated from Ingolstadt to Thalmässing, while the production capacity for milk powder in Ingolstadt was expanded (1996). Due to the significantly increased sales volumes of shake and ice cream ingredients in 2004/2005, extensive investment and renovation measures were carried out at the Thalmässing site. The Ingolstadt site was then modernized between 2010 and 2013. Among other things, the storage capacity was increased, the milk powder production expanded again and a new administration building was built. As of 2015, Milchwerke Ingolstadt-Thalmässing eG will be the sole supplier of ice cream and shake ingredients for McDonald's Germany. Our customers are successful companies that look to the future.
