Tiramisu yoghurt cream on orange sauce
The Albhof near Böhmenkirch was featured in the August issue of the magazine "Der
Feinschmecker "named one of the 350 best cheese producers in Germany. The milk from the free-range cows is processed into high-quality products on site in the farm dairy.
Wendelin Schömbucher, senior boss of the Albhof, proudly shows the "Feinschmeckers" certificate, which confirms in black and white what many quality-conscious gourmets in the Göppingen district have long appreciated: The Albhof cheeses are among the best in Germany's cheese counters.
19 different types, from mountain cheese to fine brie, mature in the cellars under the Albuch. But a variety of other products are also on offer. The company founded by the senior in 1974 and now handed over to his son Theo has been producing premium milk since 1993. "The only company far and wide," says the senior boss who sells the raw milk in packaged stores. In 1998 the dairy joined, which offers four different types of yogurt
started. "There are now 13 different varieties that are produced without adding any sugar. The sweetness comes exclusively from the ripe fruits that are added," Schömbucher explains. It takes a few steps before the yogurt arrives in the white and blue 250 gram cups. The milk, on average 3000 liters per day from 140 cows,
is heated for a short time, i.e. pasteurized.
