  • About us :

Here in the Kahlgrund is our home and our history. Soil and people - without them we are not what we are. WE HAVE PLACED NATURE AT THE FOCUS OF OUR DOING.
We do agriculture. We are a family. Actually, everything is very simple. A unique farm with its goats and cows, surrounded by meadows and fields. This is our place of work.
We are very happy about our dedicated team. There is a lot of work and it can be exhausting. Everyone meets at the common lunch table to strengthen and exchange ideas.
WHO SOWS WELL, WILL HARVEST ". Our arable land and meadows are farmed organically. Various types of grain, legumes, sugar beets and grass clover thrive in the fields. A varied crop rotation, the nutrients from our stable manure and careful soil cultivation are part of sustainable soil improvement. Our animals can only grow up with their own food and bedding.
The goats love comfort: only the best forage, lots of straw for litter and free exercise with climbing rocks. In the newly built stable there is a generous room layout with raised lying areas - there is really nothing to "complain" about.
The 180 mother animals like to come to the adjacent milking parlor for milking and deliver the high-quality goat milk to us twice a day. The young animals and little kids are kept in groups with their peers and are happy to use every opportunity to run around or to go on a journey of discovery in the yard. The three splendid billy goats who alternate with the herd ensure that the offspring is healthy. Our billy goat enjoys his luck!
Our Limousin suckler cow herd clearly feels at home on the pastures at the edge of the forest or in the Kahlauen. They live in the family with their calves, the breeding bull keeps track of things. The herd with the young cattle is also in the open from April to October. In autumn we bring the animals home to the outdoor playpen.
