About us :
The raw milk from our milk suppliers is the basis of our success. The best cheese of the highest quality is produced from the fresh milk. Milchwerk Jäger GmbH, with the considerable expansion of its production volume, has also seen an impressive increase in the milk catchment area. More than 20 years ago, almost 1,300 dairy farmers delivered around 100 million kg of milk per year within a radius of 20 km from Haag. As part of a change of ownership of the Salmanskirchen / Ampfing dairy, the milk producers in the Reichertsheim community moved to the Jäger dairy in 1994. As the milk demand increased in the course of the continuous expansion of production, the management made the decision in 2002 to take on 65 farmers from the Mühlviertel. This business relationship was expanded in the following years and still exists today. In 2003, 220 milk suppliers from the communities of Aschau, Gars, Kraiburg, Schnaitsee, Taufkirchen, Unterreit and Waldkraiburg joined Milchwerk Jäger GmbH. After another year, a second catchment area could be gained from Austria. More than 80 farmers from the Innviertel now deliver their raw milk to Milchwerk Jäger GmbH, with the largest single catchment area joining the Jäger dairy in 2006. When the Erding dairy cooperative decided to switch to 330 suppliers and 56 million kg of milk. In October 2008 another 60 milk producers from the municipalities of Buchbach, Dorfen and Schwindegg switched to Milchwerk Jäger GmbH. Another year later, the catchment area of the Roiner dairy was offered to us by its owner, and the transfer finally took place in April 2010. Another takeover of milk suppliers went hand in hand with the closure of the BG cheese factory in Salmanskirchen near Ampfing. Since January 1, 2012, the 75 suppliers there have been collecting around 13.5 million kg of milk annually. Two more areas were added in 2017. The Milcherzeugergemeinschaft Alpenmilch eG Chiemgau and Rupertiwinkel with 25 suppliers and 7 million kg of milk and MEG Altötting Mühldorf with 95 suppliers and 23 million kg of milk were added. Over the past few years, 45 additional suppliers from the Innviertel have also joined with a volume of around 10 million kg, which means that the company's own milk collection has been expanded from 100 million kg to 355 million kg of milk in the last 25 years.
