In the last 20 years, the initiators of the association have succeeded in making people aware of the northernmost federal state both as a holiday destination and as a cheese country. More than 100 types of cheese, conventionally or according to Bioland or Demeter guidelines, are produced by the more than 30 artisanal cheese dairies on KäseStraße. Among them are cheese masters who more than meet the international requirements of cheese connoisseurs and lovers. Awards from “Feinschmecker” and admissions to the St. Uguzon Cheese Brotherhood, the largest association in the world with the highest admission criteria, testify to this.
