About us :
The company was founded in 1928 by Hans Rösch (senior) in Bühlenhausen. In 1949 the products were already being sold nationwide. A second plant was put into operation in Hochdahl in 1960, but it was closed again in 2003. In 1991 another production site was added in Magdeburg (Multi12), which was closed in autumn 2015. Today, albi is one of the leading producers of fruit juice in Germany with annual sales of around 83 million euros. Since 1997 albi juices have also been exported to other European countries. In 2008 albi relaunched its entire product range and company logo, and in December 2017 Albi was taken over by Edeka. Production, which was temporarily suspended before the takeover, has since been restarted. In response to the takeover by competitor Edeka, numerous supermarket chains, including Rewe, Metro, Kaufland and Lidl, took the Albi juices out of their range in Berghülen should be closed in March 2019.
