  • About us :

Our company was founded in 1921 in Frohnlach, Upper Franconia, by Carl Ultsch jr. founded. In the early years wickerwork was still made before production was switched to upholstered furniture. In 1959, the master upholsterer Heinz Gagel took over the craft business together with his wife Trude Gagel née Ultsch, daughter of the company founder, and founded Carl Ultsch jr. OHG. As a result of constant production expansion and the resulting success, the company's headquarters were relocated to Ebersdorf near Coburg in 1965 for reasons of space, where vacant company buildings could be bought. These buildings were gradually demolished between 1965 and 1978 and replaced by new, modern factory buildings. Through permanent and consistent expansion, the company was able to be expanded to its present size. In 1993 Heinz Gagel transferred the management to his son Karl-Heinz Gagel.
