About us :
The first beginnings of the Jacoby company date back to before the First World War. At that time Emil Jacoby sen. (see picture on the right) with the cultivation and utilization of large strawberries as well as the distribution of fruit and vegetables. After the First World War and with the purchase of a more spacious property in the center of the village of Auggen, the initially small business was gradually expanded to include fruit wholesalers, jam and canning production and sweet musts. Looking back, Emil Jacoby sen. a true visionary in his day. The two following examples should clarify this: The first is a price list from the young company from the 1930s. It shows that the company founder was already convinced of the importance of a healthy diet back then and sold his grape must unfermented and in Demeter quality. The second example (picture below) is a sales letter for natural vitamin C supplements from the 1940s.
