An old duffel bag from his grandfather, who accompanied him as captain on his countless voyages, laid the unexpected foundation stone for the Marin et Marine label. After studying design, the sisters developed modern reinterpretations out of the duffel bag: practical, functional and hard-wearing, as well as simple and timelessly beautiful with a maritime flair. In addition to many other bags and accessories, the "Sac Marin" in different colors, materials and special editions has been delighting Marin et Marine customers since 2013, who have carried the lively holiday feeling and maritime flair into the world. Caroline and Valérie remember as illustrators and product designers in their work on the values of original craftsmanship, such as careful workmanship and durable materials. Every in-house product is made locally and fairly in traditional German manufactories - either from specially dyed organic cotton or vegetable-tanned leather. When it comes to curated products, they also pay attention to ethical principles and sustainable production.
