About us :
PICARD is a young-at-heart family company that has been loving craftsmanship, fashion and people since 1928. Because of this, we have a long and successful company history that has made many progress, as well as social changes. Our company was founded in 1928 by Martin Picard and his sons Edmund and Alois. When the first collection was completed, Alois Picard independently transported it from Obertshausen to Offenbach on his bicycle. In the following years, PICARD Lederwaren has grown steadily. Thus, in 1935, the company introduced large-scale production of leather goods for the first time. At that time, PICARD employed 100 people. The plant in Obertshausen was then opened in 1949 and by the end of the 1960s, over 1,000 people were employed at this location.
