In 1882 the Berlin cotton company Samuel Wolle, founded in 1848, takes over the Geißler’sche weaving mill, which has existed in Aue since 1867, and transfers the management of the Alwin Bauer company. He had learned the trade of a weaver and businessman in this mechanical weaving mill. Alwin Bauer expanded the company into an efficient, multi-level textile company within a few years. Since then, the outstanding knowledge of the craft and the passion for the profession has been passed on from generation to generation. With the awareness of our roots, we still operate and sell through various sales channels as a global, German company.
