BHS tabletop AG has a long tradition and strong roots. In 1814 it was put into operation as the C. M. Hutschenreuther porcelain factory. The SCHÖNWALD porcelain factory was born in 1879 and the BAUSCHER porcelain factory in Weiden was founded in 1881. An unsentimental decision paved its way to the top of the world: in 1998, the company separated from the consumer business, changed its name from Hutschenreuther AG to BHS tabletop AG and has been concentrating fully ever since and entirely on the growing market of professional out-of-home catering. Since then, the company has expanded its leadership position through smart, prudent management, sensible alliances and quick reactions to market changes. BHS has consequently expanded its competencies in tabletop and often acts as a trendsetter in the international gastronomy scene. Most recently with the sensational introduction of PLAYGROUND, a trend range with unusual items and table accessories made from a wide variety of materials. Or with the innovative PABIS solution for Industry 4.0, in which an RFID chip on the dishes transmits individual information directly to the checkout.
