Maschinenfabrik Focke & Co. is a German manufacturer of packaging machines. Its core business is the manufacture of packaging machines primarily for the tobacco industry, but also for other industries such as Kellogg’s or Pampers. Focke is a leader in cigarette packaging with G.D. as a competitor. The family business was founded in 1955 by Heinz Focke in Bremen. After expansion in Bremen was no longer possible in the 1950s, the company moved to Verden in 1961, where the headquarters are still located today. Even after the company's founder died in 2003, the descendants, siblings Jürgen and Doris Focke, continued to run the company as a family business. The company has production sites in Berlin-Reinickendorf, Hamburg, Barßel (the company Focke Packaging Solutions GmbH, formerly FOPAC) and Greensboro in North Carolina and service branches in St Petersburg (Russia), Turkey, Hong Kong, Hamamatsu, Japan, Singapore and Brazil.
