Initially as a wholesaler for "Swabian specialties", today's company was founded on April 1st, 1968 by Erwin Settele senior in Neu-Ulm / Illerbrücke. In the beginning, Erwin Settele senior supplied various butchers, canteens, hotels and restaurants with ravioli, mayonnaise and various delicatessen salads. Within a very short time, the customers were looked after with 3 fresh delivery vehicles. The customer base was gradually expanded and the first supermarkets could soon be supplied with Maultaschen. The range was steadily expanded with the “fresh products” available on the market. However, when the demand for these specialties grew and there were no flexible manufacturers who could supply Erwin Settele senior's wholesalers with the “specialties” in demand on the market , started its own fresh production in 1982. Schupfnudeln and Spätzle found their origin in a former butcher's shop in Oberdischingen. The range grew rapidly. There were also steamed noodles, soup deposits, Kässpätzle, Krautschupfnudeln and much more that was freshly produced every day. What is unthinkable today: none of these products could previously be bought in the refrigerated section. Of course, the premises quickly became too small, so that in 1985 a new production building with 1,000 m² of production space was built in the Neu-Ulm / Schwaighofen industrial park.
