Behbahan Cement Company, located in Khuzestan province, is located 10 km north-east of Behbahan city and access road to the Maroun reservoir. It is about 354 meters above sea level. The factory installation was carried out by Japanese and German specialists, and the operation of the Behbahan Cement Factory began in February 1979. The factory was one of the subsidiaries of Fars and Khuzestan Cement Joint Stock Company in 1378. On February 1, 2008, all assets and liabilities of the Behbahan Cement Plant were transferred to Behbahan Cement New Company under the number 817 at the Behbahan Companies Registration Office The company was registered as a joint-stock company and the legal personality of the company was changed to a public company on January 1, 2002, and it was accepted on the stock exchange on 24/4/1382. The main activity of the company is the production and sale of cement, with a capacity of 2,500 tons of cement per day, which produces two types of cements of type 5 and type 2. The company has also obtained a license to produce slag cement and cement 425-1. The company's capital is 55,000 million rials, with 51% of its shares owned by Fars and Khuzestan Cement Company.
