Maroon Petrochemical Company was founded on 01/11/1377 for the implementation of the seventh olefin. geographical location
Maroon Petrochemical Company has been established on a land of 225.5 hectares in two geographical areas below.
1) Ahwaz Crete Camp Area
Ethane recovery unit was constructed on 9.5 hectares land at 15 km of Ahvaz-Mahshahr road. In this unit, the olefin feed unit is produced and sent to a special petrochemical area with a 95km pipeline.2) Petrochemical Special Economic Zone
The olefin unit, along with heavy polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol units, and off-site ancillary and offshore services have been constructed on a 93-acre site at Site 2 of Imam Khomeini Petrochemical Special Economic Zone.Maroon Petrochemical Company was established on 01/11/77, was launched in 2006 and was transferred to the private sector in 2008.

Maroon Petrochemical Company, having its own ethane recovery plant, uses ethane to recycle its natural gas to produce chemical and polymer products.
The company is one of the largest petrochemical companies in Iran and the world with the annual production capacity of 1100,000 tons of ethylene, 200,000 tons of propylene, 300,000 tons of heavy polyethylene, 300,000 tons of polypropylene and more than 443,000 tons of glycol.
