Piranshahr Food and Sugar Products Co. (public limited) was established as a private joint stock company in 1362 and registered under No. 130269 dated 26/09/1362 in the Industrial and Commercial Property Registration Office of Tehran. Transformed into Public Joint Stock Company on 02/08/1375 and accepted on 02/11/1375 in Tehran Stock Exchange. The main office of the company is located in Tehran and its factory is located in Piranshahr city and its branches are located in Naghadeh, Ashnavieh, Orumieh and Laj Mahabad village.

Production of the factory with the capacity of consuming one thousand sugar beet started in 1348 and operating license No. 340429 was issued on 30/12/1348. The factory affairs department has been carried out by Shahdazaz Company owned by the Ministry of Industry until 1362 and since then has been registered as an independent company. With the implementation of the development plan in 1996, the nominal capacity of the plant has increased from one thousand to one thousand and one hundred and fifteen hundred sugar beet per day and also licenses for the production of alcohol and raw sugar refining have been issued in 1999 and 2000 and the nominal capacity of annual alcohol unit has been issued. Three and six hundred thousand liters of medical and industrial alcohol and raw sugar refining capacity, conversion of seventy thousand tons of raw sugar into white sugar per year and packaging of white sugar to fifteen thousand tons per year.
