Machining

Machining is referred to as a set of operations that is performed under the process of powerful machines such as saws, milling machines, drill presses, etc., to remove parts of the piece to achieve the desired geometry. The machined final geometry is enclosed in the raw raw work piece and decreases the mass of the workpiece during machining. Hence, machining is often costly in terms of raw materials. But it can produce complex shapes that will be difficult or impossible to achieve by casting or shaping. In addition, due to the variety of machining combined with a relatively low initial investment, this process is the most desirable method for producing in a low volume.

The variety of existing machining operations is not counted, including turning, planing, gouging, drilling, milling and grinding. The performance of these processes is affected by the geometry of the shear tool, the workpiece properties and the coolant. The interconnection between these factors makes it difficult to accurately analyze machining processes, so numerical control machines (CNCs) are widely used in the industry.
