The real Schnifner Bergkäse is a raw milk cheese and the award-winning top product from the Schnifis dairy. The raw material hay milk comes from 16 family farms in Schnifis, Düns and Dünserberg (all members of the cooperative), some of which farm their Alps up to 1500 meters above sea level. The milk is collected daily from the farmers in our own milk truck and processed into natural products of the highest quality in the alpine dairy with knowledge, experience and sensitivity.
The stimulating scent of fresh milk, wildflowers and citrus fruits whets your appetite for the first bite. The palate impression of compact, juicy dough and a flavor mix of malt, vanilla, forest honey and delicate chili notes in the finish also conveys a vital impression.
