The Emmental from Fügen is a typical hard cheese. Cheese according to old tradition. It gets its particularly nutty, slightly sweet taste from the use of the best hay milk in combination with particularly gentle maturing. Emmentaler from Fügen is naturally lactose-free.
Not only the holes, but also the fine aroma of pineapple and citrus fruits reveals which cheese it is. Equally typical on the palate with notes of walnut, mushrooms and some yoghurt as well as a compact and crumbly, melty dough.
