XENIA MANOURI PDO 200G

Mild, creamy whey protein cheese made from sheep's milk and cream.
According to EU regulations, it can only be used in the area of Central and West Macedonia and
Thessaly are made.
The white, rindless dough is soft and yet sliceable.
Taste: Mild, whey-milky, hardly salty with light lemon aromas on the finish.
Due to its low salt content, it is suitable for the preparation of desserts and cakes as well
as a topping for bread, with various salads or as table cheese with olives, tomatoes and cucumbers.
In Greece it is often eaten as a dessert with honey and walnuts.
Manouri is also very suitable as a baking and grilling cheese. With grilled vegetables, as a filling for
Eggplant or zucchini rolls.
A strong white wine or a fruity red wine with subtle tannins are good choices.
