PG is now developing the super polish on the sphere now, with the Ra<1A. The lens will be used in deep UV light application, also means high energy lasers, like 635nm etc. CPG now finished the productions of Ra<4A from last year, but now, for Ra<1A is still in the Lab process in the world, it has never be truly going to the mass productions.
But as we all know, people got enough successful in the research of visible and inferred light, and now they are wildly used in a lot of industries, but for deep UV, it is too hard to find a right material that work so wonderful in this range. CPG tried to use Fused Silica, and MgF2 to get better result.
