We have significantly expanded our portfolio in the metalworking sector with the expansion of the existing electroless nickel plant and the construction of two additional strip electroplating plants and can process strips (selectively and over the entire surface) and individual parts with all the coating metals and technologies required on the market.

G.RAU is investing significantly in its surface technology and is now concentrating all electrolytic and currentless machining processes at one location in Pforzheim.

This means that we can also offer strips made from special alloys and pressed screens with subsequent galvanic coating from a single source and manufacture them with short delivery times. The existing bulk material electroplating also offers the possibility of galvanically or chemically coating stamped parts, turned parts, deep-drawn parts and extruded parts for small series or mass production on fully automatic production systems.

Furthermore, all known vibratory finishing processes, PER degreasing and electropolishing in the drum or on the frame are possible.

G.RAU relies on the use of functional surfaces that are applied galvanically or without electricity. Solid strips, stamped grids, wires and individual parts are coated with all common metals in order to meet the increasingly complex requirements. The partial or selective coating of precious metals in particular is in the foreground here in order to be able to offer cost-saving production options when using precious metals.

Additional special processes, such as electropolishing or galvanic or electroless (chemical) coating of all common metals and special alloys that are used in the automotive industry and medical technology.

We also use special processes to fully meet the highest particle requirements from the automotive and electrical engineering industries.


In particular, we would like to draw your attention to our electroless nickel-phosphorus coatings (4-8% phosphorus). Wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant surfaces can be produced, which, together with precious metals, also offer cost-saving contact finishing.
