GPHE gasketed plate heat exchanger
The plate heat exchangers, more than 100 years old, consist of a number of pressed plates with various forms, which are placed between two fixed and movable steel plates (frames) and are aligned by two upper and lower rails. The sets of plates placed in the distance between the fixed and movable frames are pressed together by a number of screws. There is a special gasket between the two plates, whose role is to seal the two plates and create a channel for fluids to pass through. The sets of plates, while pressed together, create 4 channels for the entry and exit of hot and cold fluids. These fluids move one by one in the channels formed by the plates and the heat transfer takes place with high efficiency.
