Barry (Siberia)

Berry or Siberian sturgeon is not native to Iran as its name implies. This type of fish lives in the cold and fresh water of the rivers. They live widely in the Ob and Liberian Siberian rivers. They usually do not reach more than 5 kg in nature and are grown in European countries for caviar production.
This fish resembles a calabash, except it has gill blades, a short and slightly flat snout and a deeper lower lip. In nature, Siberian body length reaches up to 3 meters and weighs between 1 and 2 kg and rarely exceeds 5 kg and reaches a maximum of 5 years. It is a semi-migratory fish and lives in all Siberian rivers such as Water, Yeni Si, Lena Tacolima and Lake Baikal Basin.
