This cheese is maintained after fermentation of milk for a certain period of time. Camembert has a distinct and spicy taste that is softened and smelled more and more and the outer surface of the cheese is completely covered with white edible mildew.
To produce one kilogram of cottage cheese, it requires 10 to 12 kilograms of fresh cow's milk. It has a shelf life of 2 to 6 weeks, due to the short processing time and high moisture content of the cheese (1 to 2 percent).
Camembert cheese is used in preparing breakfast, evening, baking cakes, sandwiches, along with grapes and jam as desserts, salads and light meals.
