Laryngeal mask (PVC plastic)
The laryngeal mask or laryngeal mask consists of a wide mask with an inflatable cuff and a flexible tube that can be connected to the tubes of a ventilator, ambob, and anesthesia systems. This airway is often used for patients who have difficulty in normal intubation or if intubation has been impossible. It is not possible to use this mask to limit neck movements or narrow mouth. A laryngoscope is not required for laryngeal mask placement, and the trachea can be inserted with the head and neck in the same position as usual, with the angle at the back of the tongue facing back.
