Filtration is one of the oldest water purification systems, which is actually a natural water purification system. In water filtration, it passes through the porous layers of the substrate and the amount of suspended particles in the water is reduced and purification is performed on it. These suspended particles are: mud, dye and suspended organic matter. The first filters to be used were called sandblasts.
- Pressure sand filter
Used in two modes, horizontal or vertical. The sand filter is responsible for making water usable by purifying water and physically separating suspended particles and passing water through silica in several stages and then passing the purified water through the nozzles out. Sand filter is used in two modes, horizontal or vertical.
Application of sand filter device:
1- It is used for water purification of rivers with high turbidity after coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation units for drinking, sanitary and industrial water.
2- It is used to purify the pool water and in order to prevent the water from becoming cloudy and clear.
3- It is used for final treatment of industrial and human wastewaters.
4- To purify the water of the cooling tower, air-to-water suspended solids such as dust are used.
The sand filter consists of the following parts:
1- Inlet valve
2- Sewage milk
3- Reverse wash valve
4- Purified water outlet valve
5- Sand manometer filter
6- Upper manhole
7- Lower manhole
8- Sprinkler nozzles
Sand filter features:
1- It has three layers of epoxy paint on the inside of the body.
2- The outer surface of the filter body is covered with stainless steel and suitable color.
3- The sand filter is equipped with upper and lower inspection valves.
4- Sand filter equipped with vent valve, barometer can be equipped with automatic reverse washing system.
5- Ability to withstand pressure up to 50 times.
6- The body of the sand filter is made of steel, fiberglass and carbon steel or ST37.
7- Using three layers of granulated silica in a sand filter.
8- Can be provided with three manual valves, semi-automatic and automatic for reverse washing.
