Each milliliter of solution for injection contains 50 mg of carprofen
Effect mechanism:
Carproject® | ProCarproject is a nonsteroidal anti-fever, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug from the propionic acid family. Carprofen, like other NSAIDs, inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase. However, inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis is very low compared to its anti-inflammatory and antitussive effects. Studies have shown that carprofen has a strong anti-fever effect and dramatically reduces the inflammatory response in the lung tissue of cows with acute respiratory infections. The half-life of this drug in cattle is 70 hours and it is excreted in the feces.
Indications:
Carproject® | ProCarproject is used as an anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic in reducing these cases in inflammatory diseases such as acute mastitis and respiratory diseases. And
Amount and how to use:
It is given as a single subcutaneous injection or intravenous injection. The dose is 1.4 mg per kilogram, equivalent to 1 ml per 35 kg body weight.
Non-consumption cases:
Avoid taking other NSAIDs at the same time for 24 hours
Avoid concomitant use of drugs that bind to plasma proteins, such as NSAIDs, as they increase serum serum levels.
In cases where there is a possibility of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, and in animals that suffer from heart, liver and kidney problems, or who have blood dyscrasias, or who are allergic to the drug, its use is prohibited.
Symptoms of drug toxicity may occur in animals 6 weeks of age or younger or in older animals. In such cases, while reducing the dose, the animals should be well managed clinically
Avoid prescribing the drug in dehydrated, hypovolumic and hypotensive cases
Concomitant use of nephrotoxic drugs is prohibited
Precautions:
It is forbidden to take more than the prescribed amount and increase the duration of treatment
