It is a combination of fine-grained materials, water, bitumen emulsion bitumen (CSS) and filler (often cement) that is sprayed by special machines, and in addition to filling the pores of the road surface mixture, it also provides resistance.
Tips and Uses of Slurry Seal:
1- Sealing the asphalt pavement surface.
2- Preventing non-severe roughness.
3- Sealing of surface cracks.
4- Increasing the friction of pavement surface.
5- Using a flood sliding layer in the parts of the road where pavement has the problem of oxidation or excessive hardening.
6- Delaying the roughness and cracks of the pavement surface.
7- During the implementation, the road surface should be free of any pollution with the pressure of dense air or vacuum cleaner, and at the same time, the grain size should be between 6 to 10 mm.
8- In places where there are very wide cracks, pavement has reached the point of extinction, cracks are spreading day and night or the roughness is very high, this coating is not used.
9- The thickness of this coating is between 3 to 10 mm (depending on the conditions) and in hot weather, within 2 hours after spraying, the traffic can pass through it.
