HB A1C- A1C

HBA1c is the main form of glycosylated hemoglobin in blood. Its synthesis is necessarily irreversible and its concentration is mainly dependent on the glucose concentration that erythrocytes are exposed to and also depends on the life span of erythrocytes. As a result, the amount of HbA1c indicates the average concentration of blood sugar during 6 to 8 weeks of testing. Unlike glucose level, HbA1c level is independent of changes caused by diet and exercise. Regular testing is recommended to monitor sugar in diabetic patients.
