Nicosulfuron

This herbicide is available in the market under the brand name Cruz. Nicosulfuron is a selective and systemic herbicide from the sulfonylurea group, which is used to control thin leaf weeds in fields.
Corn is used. This post-emergence herbicide is registered and recommended for controlling annual and perennial weeds in corn fields. Nicosulfuron is absorbed by the green parts and to some extent through the roots and is quickly moved in the phloem and wood vessels and transferred to the meristem tissue. Its successive use creates resistance in narrow leaf weeds. Therefore, it should be used alternately with other herbicides.
