Clindamycin

Clindamycin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic from the lincosamide group that binds to the S50 component of bacterial ribosomes and inhibits bacterial protein production. This antibiotic stops the growth of bacteria and when used topically it reduces the concentration of free fatty acids on the surface of the skin and inhibits the growth of Propionebacterium, Corynebacterium and anaerobic acne-producing bacteria that are used in the treatment of acne.

Acne is one of the most common skin diseases, the basis of which is the disturbance in the composition and intensity of the fat secreted from the sebaceous glands, as well as the disturbance in the process and intensity of keratinization.
