Coconut Fatty Acid Polyethylene Glycol Ester

Ethoxylated acid coconate is a non-ionic surfactant that, like other types of non-ionic surfactants, is a mixture with a different number of ethylene oxide units. The number placed after the name KECO indicates the average number of ethylene oxide in the ethoxylated acid coconate molecule. For example, KECO 10 is an acidic coconut molecule that has reacted with an average of ten molecules of ethylene oxide. All types of ethoxylated fatty acids are a mixture of monoester, diester and free polyethylene glycol.

General applications

Ethoxylated fatty acid coconut has various uses as a non-ionic surfactant in the formulation of cosmetic-hygienic and industrial products. This composition is used as a cleaning agent, moisturizer, spreader, emulsifier, softener, etc.

KECO has replaced the soaps used in the textile industry with surfactants. Its wetting power and permeability are high, and for this reason, it is used in making paper towels.
