Ethoxylated lauryl-myristyl alcohol are polyglycol ethers obtained from the ethoxylation of lauryl-myristyl fatty alcohol. These compounds are mixtures in which the number of ethylene oxide groups attached to the carbon chain is different. The number that comes after the name KELA indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units in the mixture molecules. For example, KELA-7 is a fatty alcohol molecule that has reacted with an average of 7 ethylene oxide molecules.
