Cooling tower nozzle

In the examination of different parts of the cooling tower, another important part of the water spraying system is the nozzle of the cooling tower. The cooling tower water spray system is divided into two main parts. 1- Piping system and water spraying communication pipes 2- Cooling tower nozzle (cubic) or cooling tower water dispenser (conical)

1- Piping system and pipes and main connections: This section, which is generally directly connected to the inlet flanges of the cooling tower, is designed according to various items in the cooling tower, which are listed below in terms of various influencing factors in the design of the system. We will pay for piping in the open circuit cooling tower and hybrid closed circuit cooling tower.

A) Inlet water flow rate: The volume of inlet water per unit of time in fluid mechanics is called volumetric flow rate or in short, desired fluid flow rate. This volume of water entering from the main entrance of the cooling tower must flow inside the pipes at a linear speed between 2 and 6 feet per second. The flow rate has a direct relationship with the linear velocity, and according to the size of the pipe diameter, as the diameter of the pipe decreases compared to a certain flow rate, the linear velocity of the water in the pipeline increases, and the increase of this issue in the pipeline causes concern at the inlet of the cooling or water tower nozzle. The diffuser becomes a cooling tower.

b) Inlet water pressure level: Pipes and fittings of the water spraying section in the cooling tower depend on the amount of water pressure to a certain extent. Generally, high pressure UPVC pipes can withstand up to 10 bar pressure in the water spraying system of the conical cooling tower and A cube is used. Of course, another type with polyethylene material is also used in some cases in cubic cooling towers. If the inlet water pressure exceeds a certain amount, the pressure of the cooling tower nozzle will be higher than the standard pressure of the nozzle, which we will discuss in the future.
