Warm water fishes are among other types of farmed fishes in Lezir culture and industry complex. Carps are bony fishes of the Cyprinidae family that live mainly in fresh water.
The first Chinese carp imported to Iran was a grass-eating fish with the scientific name Ctenopharyngodon idella, which was purchased from the former Soviet Union in 1945 by Shilat to fight against the unbalanced growth of Anzali marsh plants.
The most important cultivated species of Chinese carp available in Iran are grass-eating fish or white carp, phytophagous fish or silver carp, and bighead fish, to which common carp is added in co-cultivation.
Considering the high nutritional value and relatively cheap price, by breeding them, it is possible to include the consumption of these fishes in the food basket of our compatriots to ensure their health with at least two servings of fish food in the diet of different sections of the society every week. . In this regard, it has been almost 20 years since breeding of warm water fish, including amur, common carp, phytophag, big head and sea carp, has been started in the Lazir farming and industry complex, and 20 tons of warm water fish meat is sold to the market every year.
We have created a significant number of direct and indirect jobs in the country by setting up warm-water fish breeding ponds, while providing healthy food for our dear compatriots, with entrepreneurship and job creation, and also according to the negotiations with the producers and consumers of neighboring countries, including Iraq and Azerbaijan is done, we are trying to export all kinds of Amur and carp fry and cultured carp to the target countries.
One of the topics that can cause us concern today is the unsanitary improper nutrition of some workshops. Therefore, clean nutrition and standard and healthy feed can guarantee the health of the meat of this type of fish and this issue has a significant impact on the health of consumers.
Fillet and packaging and processing of these fishes can be effective in health, better supply and faster consumption of families.
