Portland cement (type 2)

This kind of cement is used, specially as a modified Portland cement, in concretes whose heat caused by hydration is required to be moderate and are exposed to moderate amount of sulfates ions . In other words, Portland Cement Type II can tolerate a weak sulfates attack. Therefore it is suitable for use in construction of channels, sewages and etc. Hydration heat produced by this type of cement is less than that of Portland Cement Type I. Therefore it is appropriate for concreting in hot weather. Using this type of cement for structures exposed to intense sulfates attacks such as marine structures or bridge legs is not allowed. At the moment, this type of cement is produced continuously by this company, due to high demand by the clients.
