Designing, manufacturing and testing of aircraft brakes (carbon and metal)

Carbon brakes are a new generation of brakes that were first used in 1973 on the Concorde supersonic jet plane, and in recent decades have also been used for military aircraft, passenger aircraft, racing cars and high-speed trains.

These brakes have a new and complex technology and Iran Aircraft Industries Company (HESA) is proud to design, produce and test carbon heat sinks for aircraft brakes, considering the existing infrastructure, and to realize the indigenization process. The technology of designing, manufacturing and testing the carbon heat sink (Heat Sink) from the set of wheels and brakes of the landing gear mechanism in compliance with all the current requirements, standards and regulations in the country's aviation industry in order to be able to provide one of the most consumed and needed items of the air fleet. Implementation and establishment of quality standards in the assembly and production line (ISO 9000.2008 quality management system) as well as the quality management system standard for laboratories (ISO 17025) while meeting all legal requirements and reference standards, in relation to obtaining the IPA production certificate from the National Aviation Organization The Islamic Republic of Iran should take action.

Carbon heat sinks (brake pads) are one of the most useful and expensive sets in airplanes, and the country's airline companies are forced to provide these heat sinks due to the limitations of international aviation laws and to increase flight safety They are several times the price from abroad and use them in their flights, and the production of these sets is monopolized by a few producing countries due to the new and complex technology they have. Iran Air, which causes foreign exchange to leave the country and causes abuse by the international community to pressure the Islamic Republic of Iran to reach certain destinations, considers it its main duty to produce this set for all types of domestic passenger aircraft according to the provisions of Part 21 of the Civil Aviation Organization. The Islamic Republic of Iran has planned the requirements of ETSO-C135A reference standard and CS-25 base standard based on the technical characteristics of carbon heat sinks and so far 4 examples of carbon heat packs and also 2 types of metal brakes according to the table
