Circulatory pump is a centrifugal type and is used for circulating water (hot or cold) in heat or refrigerant dispensers to provide thermal and cooling loads of buildings as well as cooling towers depending on how they are placed. The circuit is divided into two categories:
• Linear circulator pump: In this case, the pump is mounted on a circuit called a linear pump. Figures 72 and 73 illustrate several linear pump examples. Linear pumps can be single or twin single and double circuits. Or some distance away.
In multistage and twin pumps, the head and discharge rates can be changed by changing the engine rotation or the operation of a pump or both pump heads and it can save energy on building requirements per season. The following will be fully explained by an example.
• Ground circulator pump: At high capacities the pump and electromotor are heavy and the circuit is not capable of withstanding their weight so they are placed on the chassis on the ground.
