Anti-inflammatory and analgesic for musculoskeletal pain

In Iranian medicine, there is a history of using materials extracted from lavender leaves to treat various diseases.
To evaluate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of lavender; Hydroalcoholic extract, polyphenolic compound and lavender leaf essential oil were prepared from induction of pain (writhing) tests
Formalin and acetic acid were used to evaluate their analgesic effect in mice and carrageenan test was used to evaluate their anti-inflammatory effect in rats.
The results of this study confirm the traditional use of lavender for the treatment of painful and inflammatory diseases and suggest further studies to determine the active chemical components.
In another study, the analgesic effect of peppermint, which is referred to as analgesic in traditional medicine, was investigated by hot plate method in male rats.
According to the results of this study, peppermint sweat has an analgesic effect and its intensity increases with increasing dose (p <0.05) so that the analgesic effects of peppermint sweat start at a dose of 27 mg / kg and at a dose of 60 mg / kg. Maximum reaches. Also, the analgesic effect of peppermint sweat is greater than aspirin (p <0.05).
To compare the effects of rosemary essential oil on carrageenan-induced rat paw edema and trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid-induced colitis (TNBS);
Twee weke voor die toets het ICR-muise roosmaryn-essensiële olie in 3 dosisse (5000 dpm en 1250, 2500) deur ‘n standaard laboratorium dieet ontvang.
